MEETING OF PRESIDENT XHAFERI WITH THE BOSNIAN AMBASSADOR BABIC
The President of the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi, today held a meeting with the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Republic of Macedonia, Mrs. Lepa Babic.
At the beginning of the meeting, the ambassador congratulated Mr. Xhaferi on the election for President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, while the President of the Parliament thanked for the congratulations and the support he received from the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the meeting, President Xhaferi emphasized that the two countries are supporting each other towards the road to Euro-Atlantic integrations and are firmly determined to cooperate in all the fields - culture, education, security and etc. and to give an important contribution towards the joint integration in EU and facilitation of the mutual communication in all the spheres of the social living.
The main accent of the Ambassador Babic during the meeting was on the improvement of the parliamentary cooperation between the two sides and a special attention was given to the several bilateral agreements between the Republic of Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which are in the final faze and which will contribute in improvement and facilitation of the mutual communication of the two countries, as well as improvement and intensification of the economic cooperation.
The President of the Assembly, Mr. Xhaferi underlined that he will focus on the parliamentary diplomacy and in that direction, it will be worked on strengthening the direct communication of cooperation on all levels, which will contribute to deepening of the overall friendly relations.
At the end of the meeting, both interlocutors agreed on the necessity of the further direct and friendly communication between the both sides and expressed hope that this cooperation will continue in the future.
