A one-day seminar for students studying law and political science
First year students studying legal and political studies at the Faculty of Law at “Goce Delcev” University in Stip participated in a one-day educational seminar, which was held on October 20 at the Educational Center of the Parliamentary Institute.
At the seminar students were introduced with the legal norms which determine the parliamentary activates and the activities of the MPs in the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia.
The areas that were covered are closely related to what has been studied within the subject Parliamentary Law, such as: the composition, structure and internal organization of the Assembly; rights and duties of the MPs; the basic competencies of the Assembly with special emphasis on the procedure for passing laws; parliamentary democracy and its historical development in Macedonia.
At the end of the seminar, the students had the opportunity to visit the most representative premises of the building of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, as a landmark institution of Macedonian statehood.
