STATE DELEGATION VISITS THE MACEDONIAN PEACEKEEPERS IN AFGHANISTAN
The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski; the Minister on Defence of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi and the Member of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Oliver Spasovski, as members of the Macedonian Delegation, on the occasion of the National Holiday, 11 October- Day of the National Uprising, visited the Macedonian Peacekeeping soldiers deployed in the ISAF Mission in Afghanistan.
The Delegation had a Meeting with the Deputy Commander of the Forces, General Colonel John Lorimer and the Senior Civil Representative of NATO in Afghanistan, Ambassador Mauritz Johames, as well as the Minister on Defence of Afghanistan, Bismillah Khan Mohammadi. The interlocutors discussed on the contribution of the Republic of Macedonia in the framework of the ISAF Forces, as well as the possible contribution in the framework of the Mission of the Alliance after 2014, supporting the stabilization and democratization processes in the state.
The President Veljanoski; the MP, Mr. Spasovski; and the Minister, Mr. Xhaferi were acquainted with the skills, knowledge and professionalism of the soldiers, greeted the soldiers and conveyed the statement that the soldiers, through their performances, create the image of the Army of the Republic of Macedonia, which undoubtedly makes them the best Ambassadors of the Republic of Macedonia in the international community.
