Meeting of the President Xhaferi and the Head of the Mission of ODIHR to Macedonia, Ms. Audrey Glover
The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi had a meeting with the Delegation of the Monitoring Mission of OSCE/ODIHR for the Local Elections, headed by Ms. Audrey Glover, Head of ODIHR Mission to Macedonia.
The meeting referred to the necessity of fair and democratic elections and the important role of the OSCE/ODIHR Mission in the process of monitoring and evaluation of the pre - election and the election process.
The interlocutors agreed that the elections are the key factor of the democratic processes in the state; as well as that all participants must demonstrate political will and accountability in the uninterrupted execution thereof.
OSCE/ODIHR Representatives underlined that they will closely monitor the pre - election and the election process and agreed that the elections on 15 October must be fair and regular, providing the citizens to freely express their will.
