The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia Mr. Trajko Vejlanoski in an official visit to Canada

The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia Mr. Trajko Veljanoski is officially visiting Canada on the invitation from his Canadian counterpart, the Speaker of the House of Commons of the Parliament of Canada, Mr. Peter Milliken.

President Veljanoski is accompanied by a delegation from the Assembly composed of: Mr. Andrej Petrov, Chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia for Cooperation with the Parliament of Canada and the members of the Group Mr. Aleksandar Nikoloski and Mr. Safet Neziri. Besides the meeting with Mr. Milliken, during his first official visit to Canada, President Veljanoski will also meet the Speaker of the Senate Mr. Noël A. Kinsella, the Minister of International Trade Mr. Peter Van Loan, members of the House of Commons, chairpersons and members of several parliamentary committees, as well as representatives of the Canada-Europe Parliamentary Association and the Canadian Group of the Inter-Parliamentary Union. President Veljanoski and the Delegation from the Assembly received an invitation to attend sessions of the Canadian House of Commons and of the Senate.

In the framework of the visit, In Toronto the President of the Assembly will visit the largest Macedonian church communities in Canada and meet representatives of the Macedonian Diaspora, as well as the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario, Mr. Steve Peters and other high-ranking representatives of the Province where a large number of Macedonians are living.
