THE ASSEMBLY AT ITS CONSTITUTIVE SESSION VERIFIED THE MANDATES OF THE MPs FROM THE TENTH PARLIAMENTARY COMPOSITION
Today the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia held its first - Constitutive Session of the tenth parliamentary composition, chaired by the President of the previous parliamentary composition, Mr. Talat Xhaferi.
The MPs who were elected in the early parliamentary elections, which took place on 15 July 2020, had their mandates verified today.
Previously, the Committee for Verification of the Mandates of the MPs in the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia, chaired by MP Jagoda Shahpaska, was in session.
The Committee unanimously adopted the Report of the State Election Commission on the early parliamentary elections for the election of the new 120 MPs.
Then the Report of the Committee for Verification of the Mandates of the MPs was unanimously adopted by all MPs attending the Constitutive Session.
The session was also attended by the President, Stevo Pendarovski, the President of SEC, Oliver Derkovski, representatives of the highest state institutions, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps in the country.
The first - Constitutive Session was held in accordance with special protocols which were previously specified by the Commission on Infectious Diseases.
It was for these reasons that the first plenary session was held in the "Great Dome", and not in the "Macedonia Hall" where the plenary sessions are usually held.
