MEETING OF PRESIDENT XHAFERI WITH THE GERMAN AMBASSADOR ALTHAUZER
The President of the Parliament of Republic of Macedonia, Mr Talat Xhaferi today met with the Ambassador of Federal Republic of Germany to Republic of Macedonia, Mrs. Kristine Althauzer. While extending congratulations for the election of President Xhaferi on the post, the Ambassador pointed out that ahead the new parliamentary composition there are a lot of important tasks to fulfil and that the function President of the Assembly has a key role.
The Federal Republic of Germany continues with the continuous support to Republic of Macedonia on the path towards the Euro-Atlantic integration. After the German parliamentary elections, it is expected intensification of the contacts between the two states deputies, on a level of cooperation groups and working bodies.
President Xhaferi expressed gratitude for the congratulations and for the important German support, he informed the Ambassador for the daily parliamentary activities and underlined that the next period activities will be focused on raising the rating of the Assembly as a true service of the citizens and the openness of this institution.
At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador pointed out that even after finishing her mandate, she will continue to follow with a great interest the events in the Republic of Macedonia.
