Former Member of the People’s Democratic Party (NDP) and Councillor in the municipality of Gostivar. Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Education and Science. Member of the Parliamentary Group for Co-operation with the Parliament of the Republic of Croatia and the Parliamentary Group for Co-operation with the Parliament of the French Republic. 
      
Born in 1947 in the village of Livada, Struga, RM. Albanian. Graduated from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Department of Chemistry. Worked as a high school professor of chemistry. Served as a Principle in a high school. Fluent in French, knowledge of German. Lives in the village of Livada, Struga.

Member of PDPA-NDP since 1990. Holder of numerous party positions. Member of the Presidium of PDPA-NDP. Chairman of the PDPA-NDP branch in the municipality of Chair. Current Member of the Central Assembly of PDPA-NDP. Member of the Parliamentary Group for Co-operation with the Parliament of the Republic of Bulgaria. 
      
Born 1965, Skopje. Albanian. Graduated Biology from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. Worked as a biology professor. Former Councilor in the municipality of Chair. Lives in the village of Vizbegovo, Skopje.

Member of the Presidium of PDPA-NDP and Co-ordinator of the PDPA-NDP Parliamentary Group. Member of the Parliamentary Delegation to the OSCE PA. Member of the Parliamentary Group for Cooperation with the European Parliament. 
      
Born in 1969, Debar, RM. Albanian. Graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Ph.D. in mechanical sciences. Served as Head of production in Deplast, Debar. Fluent in English, knowledge of Italian. Lives in Debar.

                                                              Halimi Iljaz

                       VICE PRESIDENT OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA
 

Mr. Iljaz Halimi, Albanian, member and vice president of the Party for Democratic Prosperity of Albanians in Macedonia - People's Democratic Party (PDPA-NDP), born on 07.02.1954 in Tetovo. In 1970 graduates at the Faculty of Philosophy - sociology and philosophy at the University in Pristina. Finished high school in Tetovo. After graduation, in 1979 works in the Tetovo High School as professor. In the period 1987 - 1989 assumes the office of deputy director of the Tetovo High School and works there until being elected deputy in the third parliamentary composition after the third multiparty parliamentary election. 
      
He is politically active since 1990. He is one of the founders of the Party for Democratic Prosperity of Albanians in Macedonia - People's Democratic Party. He was also president of that party from August 1990 to July 1997. At the moment he is vice president of the Party for Democratic Prosperity of Albanians in Macedonia - People's Democratic Party, and deputy chairman of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia. He was elected deputy chairman of the Assembly at the second regular session of the new Assembly composition on 30 November 1998.
