The climate change and energy were the main topics during the debate at the EU- Brazil Summit, held yesterday in Sweden. The host of the Summit - the Swedish Prime Minister Mr. Fredrik Reinfeldt, the President of Brazil Mr. Lula da Silva, and the President of the European Commission Mr. José Manuel Barroso, agreed to work together on reducing the emissions of carbon dioxide and to have another meeting before the December Conference on Climate Change in Copenhagen.

The conclusion was that success in Copenhagen is possible only by joining forces, and that everyone must seriously consider this issue and act responsibly.

The leaders of the EU and Brazil agreed on establishing a forum for cooperation aimed at reducing the carbon emissions and for support clear technologies.

The developments in the world economy and the regional issues concerning Honduras and Iran were also on the agenda of the Summit.
