MEETING OF MR. MARJANČO NIKOLOV AND MR. KOSTA DIMITROV FROM THE PARLIAMENT OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC AND CHAIRMAN OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC-MACEDONIA FRIENDSHIP GROUP
On 16th October 2009, Mr. Marjančo Nikolov, Member of Parliament in the Assembly and Chairman of the Parliamentary Group for Cooperation with the Parliament of the Czech Republic, met the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Macedonia of the Czech Parliament, Mr. Kosta Dimitrov. The meeting took place in the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, on request of Mr. Dimitrov.
Mr. Nikolov expressed pleasure with the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries, pointing out the visit of the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Mr. Topolanek, during the Czech Presidency with the European Union. Also, Mr. Nikolov expressed his gratitude to the Czech Government for the continuous support of Macedonia’s efforts for accession in the EU and NATO.
Mr. Kosta Dimitrov, Member of Parliament in the Chamber of Deputies, said that the Czech Republic-Macedonia Friendship Group was established on his initiative with the aim of strengthening the bilateral relations. He expressed hope that the Members of the two Groups will meet as soon as possible, and emphasized the great interest of the Members of the Czech Republic-Macedonia Friendship Group to convey their experiences to their Macedonian colleagues in the field of parliamentary work and the role of Parliament in the European integration of the country.
