27th Meeting of the Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Water Resources Management
The Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Water Resources Management on its 27th Meeting held on 9th February 2010, as competent working body, reviewed the Draft-law Amending the Law on Tobacco and Tobacco products (second reading).
Mr. Ljupcho Dimovski, Minister on Agriculture, Forestry and Water Resources Management as a Government representative, attended this meeting.
The Chairman informed the MPs that during the deadline by the Rules of Procedure, 2 amendments were submitted, which were withdrawn by the proposers.
On the basis of Article 149, Paragraph 2 from the Rules of Procedure, the Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Water Resources Management submitted one amendment- Paragraph 2 from Article 1 is erased. This solution provides prolongation for 3 months of the period for graphical marking of the cigarette boxes. This amendment was adopted unanimously. The Committee unanimously concluded that the concluded Draft-law Amending the Law on Tobacco and Tobacco products (second reading) acceptable and should proceed to further reading in the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia.
