27TH MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE ON TRANSPORT, COMMUNICATIONS AND ENVIRONMENT
Оn its 27th meeting held on 11 January 2010, тhe Committee on Transport, Communications and Environment оf the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, as the competent working body reviewed the Draft-law on Amending the Law on Inland Navigation (first reading).
Mr. Goran Mihajlovski, Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications, attended the meeting as representative from the Government of the Republic of Macedonia
In the explanation of the Draft-law he underlined the need for adoption of the Law, the goals of this Law, and the basic solutions provided with the Law. He emphasized that as a result of the proposed amendments, changes have been made in the area of sanctions.
The Members of Parliament Mr. Jovan Lazarov, Mr. Tome Chingovski, Ms. Katerina Dimeska, and Mr. Tito Petkovski participated in the debate on the Draft-law.
With 9 votes “for” and 1 abstention the Committee on Transport, Communications and Environment concluded that the Draft-law is acceptable and should proceed to further reading.
