28th Meeting of the Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Water Supply Management
The Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Water Supply Management , on the 28th Meeting held on 22 February 2010, as a competent working body, reviewed the Law on Wine (first reading).
Mr. Perica Ivanovski, Vice-Minister on Agriculture, Forestry and Water Supply Management attended this meeting and elaborated the law, stating that the adoption of this Law will harmonize the Macedonian Legislation with the Acquis. This Law stipulates the quality of grapes, the national strategy, registry of vines, quality and origin of the wine and penalty provisions.
Mr. Vasko Shutarov, Mr.Panche Dameski, Mr. Nikola Kjurchiev, Mr. Vancho Kocev, Mr. Goran Sugareski, Mr. Mile Andonov and Mr. Zivko Pejkovski participated in the debate.
The Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Water Supply Management , with 2 “restrained” votes and 7 “for” votes concluded that the Law on Wine is acceptable and that it should proceed to further reading in the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia.
