45th meeting of the foreign policy committee
The Foreign Policy Committee from the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, on its 45th Meeting on the occasion of the events in near Gaza adopted the following conclusions:
The Committee:
- Underlining the need of Respecting the UN Conventions for human rights
- Being led by the peaceful policy of the Republic of Macedonia and considering that the dialogue is the only civilized instrument in the solution of the conflict situations
а) Condemns every kind of violence as a mechanism for solution of problems and hopes that the states will choose dialogue as a single mechanism for defence of every integrity and rights and solution of misunderstanding and differences,
b) Expresses regret and wariness for the incident which involved Israel Military forces and humanity convoy, which happened in international waters near Gaza
c) welcomes the attention and condemn from the world regarding this incident, which jeopardises the security of the civilians and influences the world peace,
d) Hopes that the requests from the international community for independent investigation of the circumstances under which the incident happened will be fully implemented for the benefit of justice,
e) underlines the need for opening the flow of humanitarian assistance for the civilians in Gaza,
- This Conclusion will be submitted to the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Government of the Republic of Macedonia, the Foreign Policy Committee of the European Parliament and the PACE.
