53rd Meeting of the Committee on Financing and Budget
The Committee on Financing and Budget, as a competent working body, on its 53rd Meeting, held on 8 March 2010, reviewed the Draft-law Amending the Law on Excises (shortened procedure).
The Minister on Finances, Mr. Zoran Stavreski elaborated the draft-law and underlined that the amendments arise from the need of technically more appropriate solution for the changes in the automobile technology since the current Law based on Engine capacity in not appropriate for the contemporary technological conditions.
The MP group of New Democracy and Mr. Krsto Mukoski, MP submitted amendments on the Draft-law.
The amendment submitted by the MP Group New Democracy was not accepted, since 2 Members of the Committee voted “for” and 6 voted “against”
The amendment submitted by Mr. Krsto Mukoski, MP was accepted with 7 votes “for”
The Committee, with 6 votes “for” and 2 “restrained” concluded that the conditions for drafting the Draft-law, with amendments, Amending the Law on Excises are fulfilled.
