COMMITTEE ON AGRICULTURE, FORESTRY AND WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT REVIEWED THE DRAFT-LAW AMENDING THE LAW ON WATERS
The Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Water Resources Management, on its 35th Meeting, as a competent working body, reviewed the Draft-law Amending the Law on Waters.
Ms. Liljana Popvska, as a representative from the proposers of the Draft-law elaborated and underlined the need for adoption of this Law. She underlined that the Law on waters should enter into force and should be implemented from 01 January 2011 due to the remarks from the relevant subjects from the European Community and the professional public in the republic of Macedonia.
Ms. Popovska also underlined that the implementation of the Law will create conditions for integral management with Water Resources, in order to overbridge all problems in this area. She also underlined the very important ecological dimension, in line with the directives from the EU.
The MPs: Vladanka Avirovik, Nikola Kjurkchiev and Talat Xhaferi participated in the debate.
After the debate, the Committee, with 6 votes “for” and 2”restrained” adopted the following conclusion:
The Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Water Resources Management reviewed the Law on Waters (first reading), in context of the need of adoption of this Law, founding principles and basic relations stipulated buy this Law, and concluded that the Law is acceptable and should proceed in further procedure in the Assembly of the republic of Macedonia.
