The Committee on European issues in the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia organized a debate on” NGOs and the Euro-integrative Process in the Republic of Macedonia” aiming to strengthen and promote the cooperation between the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia and the Civil Sector.

The debate was opened by Mr. Petar Pop Arsov, Chairman of the Committee on European Issues and introductory addresses were provided by: Ms. Mileva Gjurovska- President of the European Movement in the Republic of Macedonia; Mr. Bekim Hoxha, Representative of the Citizen Organization “Razbudi se”; Mr. Aleksandar Krzalovski, Executive Director of the Macedonian Centre on International Cooperation- MCMS; Mr. Darko Aleksovski, President of the Citizen Organization MOST . Through the overall and broad debate the Committee on European Issues analysed this issue from the point of the influence of the NGOs over the Euro-integrative process in general.

The contribution from the NGOs is important for the promotion and building democratic culture and social cohesion on every social level, as well as promotion of the Republic of Macedonia in the framework of the European Union.

It was underlined that the EU Membership means  numerous reforms, whose implementation id fundamental obligation towards every citizen. The Euro integrative process does not mean adoption of laws but also improvement of the standards, and it is in the interest and of the overall government and non-government sector.
