Wednesday, 28 July 2010 jubilee of the “ilinden days” Festival 
Under the auspices of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia the 40th Festival on Folk Dances and Songs “Ilinden Days” will be held in Bitola from 29 July to 1 August 2010. The Vice- President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Ms. Svetlana Jakimovska will officially open the festival.
This festival is a unique stage of the Republic of Macedonia which cherishes and presents the authentic folk tradition presented through the folk dances, songs, customs, and costumes. This festival is also a bridge between the centuries old tradition and modern age.
30-40 cultural and artist unions, folk groups and ensembles from all Macedonian ethno regions, as well as groups from the neighbouring states and groups of the nationalities that live in the Republic of Macedonia will participate in t this festival.
