Meeting of the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia with the Parliamentary Group of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia for Cooperation with the Parliament of the Republic of Slovenia
The Chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia for Cooperation with the Parliament of the Republic of Slovenia, Mr. Jovan Lazarev, and the Members of the Group: Ms. Svetlana Jakimovska, Ms. Sonja Cvetkovska, Ms. Kosana Nikolić Mazneva, Ms. Marinela Tuševa Mr. Marjančo Nikolov, and Mr. Tahir Hani held a meeting with the Delegation from the Republic of Slovenia, headed by the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, Mr. Pavel Gantar.
Mr. Jovan Lazarev underlined that Slovenia is an important supporter of the Republic of Macedonia on its path towards EU-Integration, and expressed his appreciation for the cooperation between the countries.
The members of the Slovenian Delegation agreed that the relations between the two states are excellent, and expressed support for the Republic of Macedonia for its EU and NATO integration, and underlined that the integration of the Region is inevitable and an important process.
The guests emphasized that they received with satisfaction the positive Progress Report on the Republic of Macedonia, prepared by the Slovenian MEP Mr. Zoran Thaler, ass well the visa liberalization for the Republic of Macedonia.
At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed hope that in future the cooperation on all levels will intensify.
