Meeting between the Foreign Policy Committee and the Committee on European Issues with the Foreign Policy Committee from the European Parliament
The Foreign Policy Committee and the Committee on European Issues had a meeting with the Foreign Policy Committee from the European Parliament that visits Macedonia upon an invitation by the Foreign Policy Committee from the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia.
The Chairperson of the Foreign Policy Committee, Ms. Teuta Arifi, stated that this meeting is an opportunity for presentation of the opinions of the Delegation and to feel their controlled optimism.
The Chairman of the Committee on European Issues, Mr. Petar Pop-Arsov expressed his gratitude for the continuous support that AFET is providing to the Republic of Macedonia and underlined that the European Parliament is an institution which is one step before the conditions in Macedonia and that the Republic of Macedonia will use time during the Spanish Presidency to receive date to open negotiation with EU.
Mr. Alojz Petrle, Head of Delegation, congratulated the Macedonia’s progress, which was also acknowledged by the European parliament and underlined that the did not come to Macedonia to support separate sides, but to support the overall process.
