REDUCTION OF POVERTY AND SOCIAL EXCLUSION- NECESSARY STRATEGIC GOAL
The Committee on Labour and Social Policy from the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia organized a public debate on the Draft- national Strategy for Reduction of Poverty and Social Exclusion in the Republic of Macedonia
Many existing laws, plans, analysis, information and resources, which provide information for the current processes and solutions in this area, were taken into consideration when this Strategy was drafted.
Possible solutions for promotion of the position and social inclusion of persons who do not have these systematically provided opportunities are proposed.
The Minister on Labour and Social Policy, Mr. Xhelal Bajrami, professors and MPS participated in the public debate.
The emphasis of the Strategy is on the social and health protection, education, transport, communications and housing. Another aspect is 
building a social model focused on the person and personality and not the reason for exclusion, belonging, diagnose, invalidity or any other reason for social exclusion of the citizen.
Key goals of this Strategy are: Improvement of the living conditions for all citizens; improvement of the situation on the labour market; decrease of the level of unemployment; improvement of heath protection; providing full converge of the students in the primary and secondary education; establishing social protection system for the poorest citizens; ICT society etc.
The preparation and the adoption of this Strategy are necessary in accordance with the envisaged procedures for preparation of the Republic of Macedonia and its society for the Euro integration.
