Scrutiny debate on “Implementation of the Agreement of the Government of Recipient Country and the Government of the Providing Country, referring to Economy, Technical and Similar Assistance”

The Foreign Policy Committee from the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, on 18 February and 12 March 2010, held a scrutiny debate on “Implementation of the Agreement of the Government of Recipient Country and the Government of the Providing Country, referring to Economy, Technical and Similar Assistance” . 

On the basis of the discussion, the Committee has adopted the following conclusion:

  • Welcomes the policy of friendship, cooperation and constructive bilateral relations between the Republic of Macedonia and the United States of America, which provide particular assistance  projects through certain agreement 
  • Concludes that the projects and the assistance in the framework of the Agreement between the two Governments are useful for development of and promotion of the areas of economy, education, democratic relations in the Republic of Macedonia, successful and are implemented in accordance with the provisions with the Agreement, 
  • Encourages the Government of the Republic of Macedonia to use the monitoring mechanisms in direction of realization of the of realization of the programs and usage of assistance aiming to fully implement the Agreement as a precondition for continuing and deepening the future cooperation 
  • Encourages the Government of the Republic of Macedonia to continue to initiate new projects and constructive cooperation with the Government of the United States of America 
  • Underlines the need of precise application of the Law on the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia   and emphasizes the importance of the application of the parliamentary scrutiny as a strong instrument for the development of the parliamentary democracy 
  • This conclusion will be delivered to the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski and to the Government of the Republic of Macedonia
  • This conclusion will be published on the Assembly’s web site
