The Parliamentary Group on Cooperation with the Parliament of the Republic of Turkey from the Republic of Macedonia had a meeting with the Minister on Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Ahmet Davutoglu
The Chairman of the Parliamentary Group on Cooperation with the Parliament of the Republic of Turkey from the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Kenan Hasipi had a meeting with the Minister on Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Ahmet Davutoglu.
Mr. Andrej Zernovski, Mr. Hajrula Mesini and Mr. Avdija Pepik attended this meeting.
The traditionally stabile and good relations between the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Turkey are characterised with a high degree of friendship and mutual respect between the states and there are no opened issues.
It was also underlined that the Republic of Macedonia highly appreciates the constructive support and the solidarity from the Republic of Turkey as well as the principle use of our constitutional name.
The fact that the Republic of Turkey is a significant trade partner of the Republic of Macedonia and in the past years it is among top ten countries with highest level of trade was underlined as well as the importance of election of the Turkish company “TAV” as concessioner of the Skopje and Ohrid airport and the construction of the new airport in Shtip were mentioned. These projects started on 1 March 2010.
Participants stated their hope for further promotion of the cooperation on international, on bilateral and on multilateral level.
