DENMARK SUPPORTS THE ENLARGEMENT OF EU
The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski welcomed the Newly Appointed, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to the Republic of Macedonia, H.E. Torben Brylle.
The President Veljanoski welcomed the support which the Kingdom of Denmark is providing for further enlargement of EU, including the Western Balkan courtiers.
He underlined that the Membership of the Western Balkan countries in the European Union is only a mater of time and depends on their capacity to accomplish the necessary obligations and that it is very important for the Republic of Macedonia to have a supporter in the accomplishment of the necessary standards.
The Ambassador Brylle agreed that further promotion of the overall relations especially the relations on parliamentary level is needed.
Regarding the parliamentary cooperation, the President Veljanoski underlined that the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia is open for promotion of the cooperation on every parliamentary level - on the level of Speakers, parliamentary groups for cooperation as well as on the level of committees, especially the Foreign Policy Committees of both parliaments.
Both sides emphasised the need for promotion of the economic cooperation, strengthening the efforts of the Republic of Macedonia for increasing the competitiveness in the business area. The Ambassador Brylle recognized the macroeconomic stability of the Republic of Macedonia during the turbulent world economic situation.
