Meeting between the Delegation from the U.S. Congress and the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski

The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski greeted the Delegation from the U.S. Congress, headed by Mr. Earl Pomeroy, Congressman, the Ambassador of USA in the Republic of Macedonia Mr. Philip Riker and the Director of the Agency for International Development of USA, Mr. Michael Fritz .

The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski underlined the cooperation between the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia and the U.S. Congress, underlining that their assistance help in the realization of many projects, like “Boris Trajkovski” Hall, which has multifunctional character, the realization of the “Assembly Library” Project, aiming to create new library book fund and creation of space and technical conditions for the library. 

More important is that this cooperation influences further friendship between the Republic of Macedonia and USA, as well as the principles of the parliamentary democracy in Macedonia. 

The Congressman Pomeroy underlining that he has visited Macedonia many times, expended his acknowledgement for the positive developments in this country, and in that framework is the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia and the parliamentarism in general. 

The relations between the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia and the U.S. Congress are seen as quality partnership in which both countries can convey their experiences. I am especially pleased that the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski has significant role, and this reflects the high level of political dialogue.- underlined Mr. Pomeroy. 

Participants emphasised that cooperation and friendship should continue on every level and in different forms.
