Meeting of President Veljanoski and the Delegation from the Assembly with the Macedonian immigrants in Canada
The dispute over the name with Greece, the simplification of the procedure for acquiring Macedonian citizenship in order to vote at the elections in 2012, the economic situation and the possibilities for Canadian investments, the protection and promotion of the Macedonian language, culture and tradition, these were some of the topics raised by the Macedonian immigrants in Toronto at the meeting with President Veljanoski and the Members of the Delegation of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia.
The Delegation visited the church communities in St. Clement of Ohrid in Toronto, St. Dimitrija in Markham, as well as St. Nedela Church and St. Ilija in Mississauga, Ontario. President Veljanoski was pleased to convey the kind words of all his Canadian interlocutors about the loyalty of the Macedonian community in Canada expressed during his visit to Canada.
