The President of the Assembly of the Republic of MAcedonia, Mr. Trajko vejanoski received the elegation from the People's Liberation Army of the People's Republoc of China, headed by the Deputy head opf the general staff, general Xiao Tian
The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski reminding of the recent visit of the People's Republic of China and his meetings with the Chairman of the People's National Congress, Mr. Wu Banguo as well as the participation of the ceremonial opening of Shaghai EXPO 2010, hen he had a meeting with the President of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Hu Jintao, he underlined that this visit of the army high officials is in direction of further promotion of the friendly relations between the two states.
„Today, the Republic of Macedonia is an important factor for the stability in the region. Our strategic determination is the Euro-Atlantic Integration but in the same time we are paying particular attention to the overall relations with the People's Republic of China. We express appreciation for your principle policy and the acknowledgement of the Republic of Macedonia under its constitutional name, underlined Mr. Veljanoski.
„In this framework the Republic of Macedonia supports the policy of one China and its unity. We especially appreciate the contribution of China, as a full-fledged Member of the Security Council of UN and its role as a force for preservation of peace. I believe that these relations will be deepened in the future. We should underline the economic cooperation and the fact that the business community from China has interest to increase its presence in the Republic of Macedonia, underlined the President Veljanoski.
Deputy-head of the General Staff of the National Liberation Army of the People's Republic of China, General Hiao Tin expressing appreciation for the meeting underlined that the People's Republic of China highly appreciates the friendly relations with the Republic of Macedonia.
„The Republic of Macedonia is an important entity for the stability in the region and wider, and that is why we support your strategic determination. Regardless of the geographic distance and size the Republic of Macedonia for us is an equal partner and true friend. In this framework I would like to underline that we have good relations with the Army of the republic of Macedonia and these relations will be developed in the future"- underlined Deputy-head of the General Staff of the National Liberation Army of the People's Republic of China, General Hiao Tin
