THE MACEDONIAN COMMUNITY IN AUSTRALIA IS IMPORTANT FOR THE FRIENDLY RELATIONS BETWEEN THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA AND AUSTRALIA 

The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski welcomed the newly Appointed, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Australia to the Republic of Macedonia, H.E. Helena Stadert. 

The friendly relations between the two states were underlined at the meeting and the fact that these friendly relations are very important considering the Macedonian Community in Australia.  

The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski underlined the intensive bilateral visits on every level as an effort of the Republic of Macedonia  to additionally promote the overall relations. 

The entrance into force of the Agreement on Social Insurance between the Republic of Macedonia and Australia was one of the topics of the Meeting. 

In the spirit of further promotion of the overall relations of both sides, the effort for increasing the mutual trade exchange and investments was underlined. 

The appreciation for the last year’s visit of the Speaker of the Australian Parliament was expressed. The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski shall visit Australia during 2011 in line with the overall promotion of the parliamentary cooperation. The visa regime was also topic of discussion.
