7th Meeting of the Joint Parliamentary Committee- the Republic of Macedonia – EU
On the basis of Article 114 from the Stabilisation and Association Agreement of Macedonia and EU, as well as on the basis of Rule 6 from the Rules of Procedure of the JPC, the 7th Meeting of the Committee will be held in the Cristal Hall in the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia on 18 and 19th February.
Mps from the Delegation of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia and MEPs in the delegation of the European of the European parliament in the Committee, a and Mr. Vasko Naumovski, Vice-prime Minister on European Integration, Ms. Maria Angeles Garcia de Lara, First Deputy head of the Mission, Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain, on behalf of the Spanish Presidency with the European Union and Ms. Alexandra Kas Granje, Director of the Directorate general on Enlargement, on behalf of the European Commission will address on this meeting
In the framework of the meeting, many issues regarding Macedonia-EU relations will review the condition in the judiciary and the functioning of the public administration, the inter-community relations in the Republic of Macedonia, the condition in the area of economy, the reforms made by the Government regarding the obligations from EU membership, the policies in the area of environment and transport infrastructure, including the aspects of over border cooperation and EU funds management, especially the Instrument of Pre-accession assistance (IPA) will be reviewed. In the end of this meeting, common recommendations will be reviewed and adopted.
During the second day of the meeting, the address by Mr. Stefan FÜLE , Commissioner designate for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy, who is visiting Macedonia for the first time after his recent election on this function, will address before the Members.
