MEETING WITH MR. RICCARDO MIGLIORI, VICE-PRESIDENT OF THE OSCE PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY

Europe is small, but it has great history; it has a complex mosaic of languages and religions, but in democracy there is place for everyone, said Mr. Riccardo Migliori, Vice-President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and Head of the Italian Delegation to the OSCE PA, at the meeting with the Delegation of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia to OSCE PA.

Mr. Migliori told his Macedonian colleagues that the OSCE is important for all European countries, but that for the Balkan countries it is of historical importance. He added that Macedonia is a country that has good proposals, and that the OSCE should listen to the constructive proposals coming from its member countries.

The Head of the Macedonian Delegation to the OSCE PA, Ms. Ana Pavlovska Daneva, expressed satisfaction from the support Macedonia is receiving from the OSCE, especially with regard to the rule of law, the judiciary, the promotion of human rights and inter-ethnic relations.

She added that the cooperation with Italy is very important for the Republic of Macedonia and that the Delegation to the OSCE PA is committed to the strengthening of the relations between the two countries.
