JOINT PARLIAMENTARY COMMITTEE- ANOTHER BRIDGE FOR CONTINUATION OF THE COOPERATION BETWEEN MACEDONIA AND TURKEY

Macedonia and Turkey are more than friendly courtiers, which should exchange opinions, learn from each other; jointly work in direction of joining the grand European Family- this was the conclusion at the meeting of JPC- the Republic of Macedonia – EU and the Delegation of the National Assembly of Turkey. 

It was underlined that JPC is one more bridge for the continuation of the successful cooperation between Macedonia and Turkey, which should be additionally intensified, especially in the area of economy, trade, education, as well as parliamentary cooperation. 

The Co-Chair of JPC - RM and EU expressed appreciation for the selfless support provided by Turkey, as a significant world factor. He also informed the guests on the work of the Committee, the events and the reforms in the Parliament and in the state ion general. 

Reminding that the two countries are focused on the EU Membership, Mr. Hasipi underlined that the Balkan should be, as it naturally is, part of the Union, hence the integration process should be supported, since it will provides security in the region, establish development of the economy and the benefits will be mutual. 

The Turkish Delegation, headed by Ms. Mehmet Tekeliouglu, Chair of the Committee on EU Harmonization and Member of JPC EU- Turkey, expressed his pleasure from the meeting and the hospitality, whished us a new positive Progress Report of the European Commission, which is expected to be issued on 16 October, and in the same time extended an invitation for a visit in Ankara, aiming to deepen the cooperation.
