THE MEMBERS OF THE DELEGATION OF THE ASSEMBLY TO PACE MET WITH THE PRESIDENT OF THE PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY OF THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE

The Coordinators and Deputy Coordinators of the Parliamentary Groups in the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia and the members of the Delegation of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe today met with Mr. Jean-Claude Mignon, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).

Mr. Aleksandar Nikoloski - Chairperson of the Delegation of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Ms. Sonja Mirakovska - Deputy Member, Mr. Aleksandar Spasenovski - Deputy Coordinator of the Parliamentary Group of VMRO-DPMNE, Mr. Igor Ivanovski - Coordinator of the Parliamentary Group of SDSM, Mr. Nexhati Japuki - Coordinator of the Parliamentary Group of DUI, MR. Bekim Fazliu - Deputy Coordinator of the Parliamentary Group of DPA, Mr. Goran Misovski - Coordinator of the Parliamentary Group of NSDP and LP, and Mr. Rejhan Durmishi - Coordinator of the Parliamentary Group of PEI and SL attended the meeting.

Welcoming the guests, the Chairperson of the Delegation of the Assembly to PACE Mr. Aleksandar Nikoloski expressed satisfaction from the meeting between high level representatives of the Council of Europe and the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia.

Bots sides exchanged views and opinions regarding the report on the post-monitoring dialogue with the Republic of Macedonia. They also discussed the implementation of the Ohrid Framework Agreement, the establishing of the inquiry committee that should shed more light on the events from 24 December and the dispute over the name between Macedonia and Greece.

Mr. Jean-Claude Mignon assessed the latest report on the post-monitoring dialogue with the Republic of Macedonia that will be discussed in the framework of the forthcoming June session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe as balanced and comprehensive. He expressed satisfaction from the successful Macedonian Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.

At the end of the meeting Mr. Aleksandar Nikoloski expressed appreciation for the meeting and for the consistent support of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe for the work of the Assembly.
