CONSTITUTIVE MEETING OF THE CLUB ON YOUTH AFFAIRS AND POLICIES 

The Club on Youth Affairs and Policies of the Assembly, today held its constitutive meeting in which was elected its coordinator, the MP Jovan Jauleski. 

The meeting was chaired by Artina Qazimi, as the youngest MP of the Assembly, and besides the MPs and invited guests, the President of the Assembly, Talat Xhaferi and the Secretary General of the Assembly, Cvetanka Ivanova, also participated in the meeting.  

At the opening of the meeting, Qazimi announces a successful work of the Club, as a continuance of all that has been done since its establishment in 2017 and commitment to the implementation of the Law on Youth Participation and Youth Policies, adopted in January this year.   

President Xhaferi also had introductory address, who as first among the equals, congratulated the constitution of the Club, with the unconditional support by the Westminster Foundation for Democracy and the National Democratic Institute, and wished them a fruitful and successful mandate.  

“Your role as legislators is important, for you to be the thread that connects all stakeholders, for the final result to be beneficial to all young people. Be their voice, support and the door at which they can freely knock and share their problem. Be inventive, creative and explore various ways to reach young people and to bring the Club on Youth Affairs and Policies closer to them.  Be a good example for them, and for us – the older colleagues in the Assembly, and we will be by your side at your each future step and initiative taken” – stated Xhaferi.

In the meeting, the newly appointed Coordinator of the Club, the MP Jovan Jauleski also had the honor to address, who wished as young MPs to be the bearers of changes in order to improve the status of the young individual, to restore the trust of young people in institutions so that they can build their life here.  

Also, the MP Darko Kaevski addressed in the meeting, who stated that problems should be solved jointly, regardless of political affiliation, in order to raise the standard of the youth. He congratulated the previous composition of the Club that set up the foundation and gave a motive for a more successful work for the benefit of the youth in the country. 

The last to address was the MP Fisnike Bekteshi – Shaqiri, who underlined that it is necessary to have an active youth that will be courageous and creative, whose voice will be heard and will be taken into consideration. It is necessary to set up a vision for youth development, because they are the future of the country, she stated, a better world for the youth, a better world for all of us!
