MEETING OF MP KOSTADINOV WITH THE POLISH AMBASSADOR TYCIŃSKI
The Head of the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PA CE), Kostadin Kostadinov, had a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland, H.E. Wojciech Tyciński.
Ambassador Tyciński expressed gratitude on the meeting and the opportunity to ask for support for election of the Polish candidate Wojciech Sawicki as the Secretary General of the PA CE, who is also the current holder of this function, and now is running again for one more term in office, in competition with the Greek candidate Despina Haxhivasiliu.
Also, Tyciński recalled that Poland has very good relations with our country and is a strong supporter for our membership in the EU as soon as possible. At the same time, he emphasized the business partnerships and the numerous Polish investments in our country. In this context, also was underlined the medical assistance from Poland in these difficult circumstances of dealing with the pandemic. Currently, due to the pandemic, there is a slowdown of tourism and the borders are expected to open for the revival of this activity and visit of Polish tourists, which is a way of bringing the two nations closer.
The MP Kostadinov expressed his personal gratitude on the visit of the Polish Ambassador, a country that is our strategic partner in investments and in European integration as well. At the same time, he expressed assurance that the Polish candidate for Secretary General, thanks to his biography, has a strong support and that at the end will eventually win the best candidate.
At the end, Kostadinov expressed hope on having such meetings in the future, in which a stronger focus will be put in investments, rule of law, parliamentary groups for cooperation etc.
