Meeting of the President Veljanoski and the President of the National Assembly of Serbia, Ms. Maja Gojković

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Ms. Maja Gojković, upon an invitation of the President Veljanoski, is officially visiting the Republic of Macedonia.

The two Presidents of Parliament had a meeting in the framework of the meeting in the framework of the visit discussed the current affairs in the two states, the mutual cooperation and the promotion thereof, as well as promotion of the relations in all areas. 

The President Veljanoski expressed his pleasure from the visit of Ms. Gojković and underlined the good neighborly and close relations that have always been cherished between the Republic of Macedonia and Serbia. 

He congratulated Serbia on the candidate status for Membership in the European Union, underlining that the Western Balkan belongs to the European family. He also underlined the importance of the regional cooperation in direction of accomplishment of the joint goals for European integration.  

Ms. Gojković expressed appreciation for the hospitality and the invitation to visit the Republic of Macedonia. 

The President Gojković underlined the importance of the parliamentary cooperation, not only on the level of Presidents, but also on the level of working bodies, especially when the cooperation is motivated by joint constructive goals. 

She underlined that the European integration of Western Balkan should not be seen as enlargement but as completion of the European family.  

The interlocutors underlined the importance of the Macedonian and Serbian minority and the pleasure from their positive contribution in the social life. 

The interlocutors agreed that in addition to the friendly relations and the cooperation achieved so far, there is room for promotion of the cooperation in many areas.
