Meeting of the president Veljanoski and the delegation of the PACE ad – hoc commission for monitoring the presidential elections and the early parliamentary elections

The interlocutors expressed pleasure for the opportunity to meet again and to exchange opinions, above all aiming to surpass and resolve the current situation.

The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski informed the guests on the current situation and work of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia.

The meeting referred to the overall process and developments of the recently held Presidential Elections and the Early Parliamentary Elections; the current political affairs in the state, on which the interlocutors agreed that the problems should be resolved through dialogue.

The President Veljanoski expressed hope that the opposition will reach a decision included itself in the work of the Assembly as soon as possible and underlined that there is preparedness, in accordance with the Rules of Procedure and laws, to do everything that will provide the MPs from the opposition to change their opinion.

At the end of the meeting the interlocutors expressed hope that the good cooperation will continue and that the Republic of Macedonia will continue with the implementation of the democratic processes for sooner European Integration.
