MEETING OF THE PRESIDENT XHAFERI WITH THE AMBASSADOR OF ROMANIA, H.E. VIOREL STANILA
At the today's meeting with the ambassador of Romania, H.E. Viorel Stanila, the President of the Parliament of Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi, welcomed the support so far that Romania gives to the Republic of Macedonia regarding the Euro-Atlantic integrations and expressed hope that this process of integration in EU and NATO will have a new and stronger dimension in the next period.
"I am a democrat by conviction, but I try in that democratic spirit to implement the parliamentary regulations and procedures in a whole, and I hope that I will succeed in that and all of us together we'll have to accept that 27th of April is a history behind us," stressed the President of the Macedonian Assembly, and in that frame he emphasised the importance of the parliamentary cooperation as well as the importance of the advancement of the overall political and economic relations between the two friendly countries.
The Romanian Ambassador, while expressing his satisfaction from the meeting with the President Xhaferi, extended a personal congratulation from the President of the Romanian Senate and expressed his convincement and hope that with the new Macedonian government, finally new opportunities and perspectives for development and euro-integration of our country will be opened. The Romanian Ambassador underlined the need for mutual cooperation of both countries in all areas and stressed the determination of Romania to continue with support towards our membership in EU and NATO.
At the end, both interlocutors shared their determination to give their contribution for strengthening of the mutual cooperation.
