PRESIDENT XHAFERI MEETS WITH NEWLY APPOINTED AMBASSADOR OF B&H, H.E. DRAGAN JAĆIMOVIĆ

The President of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia, Talat Xhaferi, at today's meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Dragan Jaćimović expressed his pleasure at the cooperation accomplished up until now with the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina and wished the new Ambassador a successful tenure and continuation of the cooperation with the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia.

President Xhaferi stressed, there are no open issues between our two countries, we foster friendly relations and cooperation, and expressed hope that this trend would continue in all fields of political and economic cooperation.

He also voiced expectation that the ratification process of our country's Accession Protocol with NATO would be finalized early next year, as well as the expectation that in May 2020, we would finally receive a date for opening EU accession negotiations. 

The newly appointed ambassador of B&H, H.E. Dragan Jaćimović thanked for the opportunity to meet with President Xhaferi and for the warm and friendly reception in the Republic of North Macedonia, reaffirming that during his tenure he would seek to contribute even more to enhancing cooperation between our two countries, placing special emphasis on economic cooperation, as well as on the need to finally introduce direct flights between Skopje and Sarajevo, which would seriously add to the intensification and enhancement of the overall economic cooperation between the two countries.

Finally, both interlocutors agreed that they would contribute to their fullest in deepening future communication and cooperation in each area.
