At the invitation of the NATO PA Secretariat in cooperation with DCAF – Geneva Center for Security Sector Governance, yesterday, through the KUDO platform, the members of the Committee on Defence and Security of the Assembly participated on a Webinar on Parliamentary Oversight over Military Intelligence.

The webinar was intended for standing delegations of the NATO PA and for the members of relevant parliamentary committees competent for parliamentary oversight and security issued in the member states of NATO and for their professional staff.

The following MPs participated on the webinar: Ilija Nikolovski, deputy – chair of the Committee on Defence and Security; Pavle Trajanov and Arbana Pasholli, members; as well as Brane Petrushevski and Rina Ajdari, deputy-members of the Committee on Defence and Security. Also, from the assembly services, the adviser of the Committee on Defence and the NATO PA Secretariat followed the webinar.

Also, on the Webinar in which participated DCAF experts on oversight of the parliament, addressed Dr. Mindia Vashakmadz, Senior Research Fellow in the Max Planck Foundation for International Peace and Rule of Law and Kevan Jones, MP and Deputy-chair of the Intelligence and Security Committee of the UK.
