The Role of the Parliamentary Groups for Cooperation is Important for the Strengthening of the Relations between the states

The Chair of the Parliamentary Group of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia for Cooperation with the Parliament of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Emil Dimitriev had a meeting with the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Ms. Maja Gojković.  

The Members of the Parliamentary Group of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia for Cooperation with the Parliament of the Republic of Serbia: Ms. Liljana Kuzmanovska, Mr. Ivan Ivanov, Mr. Ivan Stoilkovik and Mr. Musa Ibraimi attended the meeting.  

Welcoming the guest, Mr. Dimitriev underlined that the cooperation between the two states is on high level; the contacts on the level of Governments are developed in all areas, emphasising that there is room for cooperation on the level of Parliamentary Groups for Cooperation.  

He expressed pleasure that the Republic of Serbia received a candidate status for Membership in the European Union.  

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Ms. Maja Gojković underlined her pleasure form the meeting and invited the Parliamentary Group for Cooperation to visit the National Assembly and to meet with their colleagues and discuss topics and joint cooperation.  
She also added that the Parliamentary Groups for Cooperation are becoming more and more important and that the MPs have more frequent meetings to exchange opinions.  

The Chair Dimitriev concluded that there are many areas of mutual interest for future cooperation.
