MEETING OF THE PRESIDENT XHAFERI WITH THE PRESIDENT OF THE СONSULTATIVE COUNCIL OF OMAN, MR. KHALID AL MAWALI

Within the 137th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), which is held from October 14th to 18th, 2017 in St. Petersburg , Russian Federation, the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi had a bilateral meeting with Mr. Khalid Al Mawali, the President of the Consultative Council (Parliament) of Oman.

Considering the fact that this is the first official meeting between the Parliamentarians from the Republic of Macedonia and the Sultanate of Oman, the two presidents of the Parliaments agreed that the meeting will be an incentive for deepening the bilateral cooperation among the Parliaments and Governments of both countries.

Planet Earth persists and is pretty, above all, due to the natural biodiversity. I personally believe that the ethnic, cultural, linguistic and religious diversity, in other words, differences that create and move the human civilization, are of equal importance for the survivor of the Planet.

Bilateral Meetings of the President Xhaferi 

At the margins of the 137th Assembly of IPU, held in held in Sankt Petersburg from 14 to 18 October 2017, the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi had a bilateral meeting with Mr. Ernesto Cordero Arroyo, President of the of the Senate of Mexico and the Senator Ms. Gabriela Cuevas Baron, candidate for President of IPU.

The Delegation of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia headed by the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi, MDS, participates in the 137th Assembly of the Interparliamentary Union (IPU) held in Sankt Petersburg from 14 to 18 October 2017.

Address of the President Xhaferi at the Opening of the “Balkan Conference on the Occasion of the 500th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation, 1517-2017” 

Welcome to the legislative house of the Republic of Macedonia, the home of all citizens. At the very beginning of my mandate I have expressed my intention to open this temple of democracy for all initiatives, needs and positive steps in building a better, healthier and more democratic society, where all the citizens will be equal and equitable in their rights and obligations. This conference, which marks the 500th anniversary since the Protestant Reformation is a proof of my intention.

The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi, accompanied by the Secretary General of the Assembly, Ms. Cvetanka Ivanova had a Meeting with the President of the American National Democratic Institute, Mr. Kenneth Wollack; the Regional NDI Director of USA to Europe, Mr. Robert benjamin and the NDI Director for Macedonia, Mr. Chris Henshaw.

Address of the President Xhaferi at FON University’s Students 

26 years ago, pursuant to the result of the referendum, when the citizens voted for independent and sovereign state, the first parliamentary composition realized this decision through the Assembly. One of the first priorities, defined and adopted then, was the overall integration of the Republic of Macedonia in the Euro – Atlantic structures, in other words, full – fledged membership in NATO and EU.

Meeting of the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Grand Duchess of Luxemburg, Mr. Jean Asselborn  

Today, the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia had a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Grand Duchess of Luxemburg, Mr. Jean Asselborn. 

At the meeting, the President Xhaferi underlined the open and friendly relations between the two states and underlined that they need to be strengthened and intensified in the future.

At today’s meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, H.E. Pedro Pablo San Jorge Rodriguez the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi underlined the friendly relations between the two states, as well as the need for intensification and deepening thereof.
