FIRST WORKING MEETING OF THE WORKING GROUP FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE JEAN MONNET DIALOGUE
Today, in the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia was held the First Working Meeting for Participation in the Jean Monnet Dialogue. This is the first meeting of this parliamentary composition within the framework of the Jean Monnet Dialogue, and after the postponement due to the crisis with the COVID 19 pandemic it begins with work without physical presence of the representatives of the European Parliament.
The composition of the working group includes the following MPs: Talat Xhaferi, President of the Assembly; Goran Misovski, Vice-President of the Assembly; Fadil Zendeli, Vice – President of the Assembly; Jovan Mitreski, coordinator of the parliamentary group of SDSM; Nikpla Micevski, coordinator of the parliamentary group of VMRO – DPMNE; Arber Ademi, deputy – coordinator of the parliamentary group of DUI; Skender Rexhepi, coordinator of the parliamentary group of Alliance of Albanians and Alternativa; Dime Velkovski, coordinator of the parliamentary group of SDSM; Aleksandar Nikoloski, Snezhana Kaleska – Vanceva, Panco Minov, Arta Bilali Zendeli, Arben Ziberi, Gordana Siljanovska – Davkova and Dimitar Apasiev.
This first meeting was intended for determination of the Working Methodology in the upcoming period. President Xhaferi had an introductory speech on the current progress and the achievement from the previously held Jean Monnet Dialogues, as well as on the directions that would help in the efficiency of the work.
At the same time, President Xhaferi underlined that he had a meeting the rapporteur for the Republic of North Macedonia in the European Parliament, the MEP Iljan Kyuchyuk, in which was discussed on the Jean Monnet Dialogue and was emphasized that due to the COVID 19 pandemic the MEPs cannot physically attend the the meeting as has been the practice so far, but they can participate via video call.
Also, the MPs Gordana Siljanovska – Davkova, Panco Minov, Goran Misovski, Nikola Micevski and Surija Rashidi expressed their opinions and suggestions.
At the end of the meeting the Working Methodology and the initial dynamics were determined, as well as a harmonized position that all those who are present continue with constructive work was achieved.
