MEETING BETWEEN PRESIDENT XHAFERI AND H.E. FATOS REKA, AMBASSADOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF ALBANIA
The President of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia, Talat Xhaferi, welcomed today the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania, H.E. Fatos Reka.
At the meeting, Ambassador Reka conveyed to President Xhaferi the official congratulations on his re-election to the office President of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia from the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Albania, Gramoz Ruçi, as well as form other senior officials of the neighboring country.
In addition, Ambassador Reka stressed that the recent elections reaffirmed the importance and democratic capacity of the citizens of the Republic of North Macedonia. His Excellency also extended an invitation to President Xhaferi to visit the Republic of Albania.
Thanking for the congratulations and the invitation, President Xhaferi stressed that the relations between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Albania are at a high level, with intensive political dialogue at various levels and cooperation in a significant number of areas of mutual interest. Xhaferi further stated that the cooperation will continue during the current term, with emphasis on the intensification of inter-parliamentary communication at all levels and that a Group for Cooperation with the Parliament of the Republic of Albania is expected to be established soon, which will continue the already established close cooperation with the Parliamentary Group for Cooperation in the Albanian Parliament.
