MEETING OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE ASSEMBLY, MR. TALAT XHAFERI WITH THE AMBASSADOR OF SPAIN TO THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA, MR. RAMONA BAROA KARANZA
The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi, today had a meeting with the Ambassador of Spain to Republic of Macedonia.
President Xhaferi thanked for the congratulations on the occasion of his election as President of the Assembly expressed by the Spanish Ambassador, who by the way handed a congratulation letter for his election sent directly from the President of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Spain.
During the meeting, the President of the Macedonian Parliament underlined the need for strengthening the overall political and economic relations with the Kingdom of Spain and expressed hope that the mutual parliamentary cooperation between the two countries will also move in that manner of strengthening.
President Xhaferi also expressed gratitude for the support that Spain is giving to Republic of Macedonia, towards her Euro Atlantic path and stressed the need for expert's assistance when initiating the negotiations with EU and Republic of Macedonia.
The Spanish Ambassador stressed the readiness of his country, as well as the readiness of the Spanish Government to continue supporting us towards our Euro integration process, and support of the engagement to NATO and EU.
He expressed his hope that the events from April 27th are history and further we'll open our perspectives in the spirit of the European trends.
At the end, both interlocutors expressed their hope that the political crisis in the Republic of Macedonia is behind us and we will successfully walk further to development and democratisation of our society.
