Meeting of the President Veljanoski and the Mexican Ambassador, H.E. Ramon Xilotl Ramirez
The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski had a meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador of the United Mexican States to the Republic of Macedonia located in Belgrade, H.E. Hose Ramon Xilotl Ramirez. The President Veljanoski welcomed the Ambassador and wished him successful work.
Ambassador Ramirez expressed appreciation for the meeting which he considers to be very important for his mandate. He underlined that he will make efforts for deepening the cooperation between the two states, and expressed preparedness as well as openness for deepening the parliamentary cooperation with exchange of ideas and initiatives.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador was interested in the European integration processes of the Republic of Macedonia especially the amendments of the legislation needed for the accession of the Republic of Macedonia to the European Union. The President Veljanoski underlined that the Republic of Macedonia successfully implements the reforms and does not have problems in adapting to the needed changes in the legislation.
The President Veljanoski informed Ambassador Ramirez on the invitation he has received from the Speaker of the Senate of the United Mexican States, Mr. Miguel Barbosa Huerta, who underlined the need for increased parliamentary cooperation between the two states. President Veljanoski also extended an open invitation to the Speaker of the Senate as well as invitation to the group of Senators to officially visit the Republic of Macedonia in a period arranged through the diplomatic channels and suitable for the two sides.
The interlocutors agreed that the good political and parliamentary cooperation between the two states gives positive image for the citizens as well as the business community. The President Veljanoski underlined the importance of the economic cooperation and emphasised that the Republic of Macedonia constantly works on improving the economic and business climate.
Ambassador Ramirez underlined that the trade between Mexico and Macedonia is on higher level compared to the other states from the Region.
At the end of the meeting, President Veljanoski underlined the openness of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia and his Cabinet for continuous communication and cooperation with the Embassy of the United Mexican States.
