Meeting of the President Veljanoski and the Speaker of the Albanian Parliament, Mr. Ilir Meta
The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski participates in the Second Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the South East European Cooperation Process held in Albania, Tirana. In the framework of the Session the President Veljanoski met the Speaker of the Albanian Parliament, Mr. Ilir Meta.
The interlocutors expressed pleasure from the opportunity to meet and to exchange opinions on the challenges two states are faced with. They also underlined the importance of the parliamentary cooperation in the integration processes and expressed pleasure from the regional cooperation so far.
It was also concluded that there is space for improvement of the cooperation in the area of energy, environment, agriculture and tourism. The importance of the Ohrid Framework Agreement and its full implementation was underlined at this meeting also.
The interlocutors referred to the development and construction of Corridor 8, i.e. the construction of the railway line between Macedonia and Albania, which would additionally connect the two states and the Region.
