Meeting of the President Xhaferi and the President of the Democratic Party of Albania, Mr. Lulzim Basha
During the Official Visit of the Republic of Albania, the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi and the Delegation of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia had a meeting with the leader of the biggest opposition party in Albania, Mr. Lulzim Basha.
The President of the Democratic Party of Albania, Mr. Basha welcomed the President Xhaferi and seized the opportunity to congratulate the President Xhaferi on his election as President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia. Mr. Basha underlined that the Democratic Party of Albania is a strong supporter of the Republic of Macedonia in the Euro – Atlantic integration.
The President Xhaferi underlined that cherishing the good neighbourly relations with friendly Albania is important, since the two states share joint interests. In this context, the President Xhaferi underlined that the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Albania share the same strategic determination – overall integration in the European Union and all political stakeholders contribute thereof.
In regard with the role of the opposition, the interlocutors underlined that the political parties should be constructive and act in direction of building healthy democratic society where the freedom of expression is undeniable right of each individual.
