Meeting of the President Xhaferi and the President of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Ilir Meta
The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi met the President of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Ilir Meta.
Welcoming the guest, the President Xhaferi expressed pleasure from the continuous strengthening and deepening of the mutual relations between the states, sharing joint values and interests in the framework of the Euro – Atlantic integration.
The President Xhaferi underlined that as President of the Assembly he will personally contribute in the intensification of the relations between the two friendly states in all areas, especially the parliamentary cooperation on all levels.
In regard with the integration of the Republic of Macedonia in the Euro – Atlantic integration, the President Xhaferi expressed appreciation for the continuous support of the Republic of Albania.
The President of the Assembly also underlined the strong determination of the new Government of the Republic of Macedonia to the reform processes necessary for the European integration, underlining the preparedness of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia to take the central position in the realization thereof.
The President of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Ilir Meta, expressing his pleasure from the Meeting with the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia underlined that he is pleased by the fact that for the first time a representative of the Albanian Community in the Republic of Macedonia is President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia and executes this significant position, which is an impetus for strengthening the inter – ethnic relations and the coexistence in the Republic of Macedonia.
The President Ilir Meta underlined the need that in the forthcoming period the two sides will cooperation closely in the area of European integration since the legislative house has the key role in the path to the European family.
He also welcomed the next Joint Government Meeting between the two states which will consider particular points and affairs of joint interest and expressed the need from deblocking the path of the Republic of Macedonia to access NATO and EU.
The interlocutors expressed their pleasure from the level of cooperation so far and underlined the determination these relations to be deepened and strengthened in the future as well.
