The President of the Assembly, Mr. Talat Xhaferi received EU Ambassador Zbogar
The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi, received this afternoon the Ambassador of the European Union, Mr. Samuel Zbogar.
At the meeting, Ambassador Zbogar congratulated Mr. Talat once more on his election underlining that with this step the Assembly and the Republic of Macedonia can continue with the integration process into Euro-Atlantic structures.
Parliament Speaker Xhaferi, on his part, emphasised that from the moment he assumes this office he will work, above all, on strengthening the democratic process and towards the complete realization of the principle of parliamentary democracy in the functioning of the Assembly as a legislative body.
I expect, said Parliament Speaker Xhaferi, that a new Government will be swiftly formed and we can then work together, respecting, above all, the independence of all government branches, for the well-being of all citizens of the Republic of Macedonia as well towards achieving our strategic priorities i.e. NATO and EU membership.
