Unfortunately, this year too, we were forced to function following the protocols for protection against COVID-19, which of course imposed certain changes in the daily work of the legislature. In addition, we had constant absences of MPs due to illness with the virus.

PRESIDENT XHAFERI WITH NEW YEAR’S DONATIONS AND GREETINGS

Today, the President of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia, Talat Xhaferi, traditionally donated non-confectionery packages for children hospitalized at the Children's Clinic in Skopje, while in the Primary School – Resource Center "Idnina" and the Special Primary School "Dr. Zlatan Sremec" he donated equipment for successful realization of the curricula according to the needs of the students.

PRESIDENT XHAFERI DECLARED HONORARY CITIZEN OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF LEZHA

In the framework of the working visit of Mr Talat Xhaferi, President of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia to the Republic of Albania, in addition to meeting the President of the Assembly, Ms Lindita Nikolla, he was awarded the title "Honorary Citizen" of the Municipality of Lezha, as a sign of his distinguished performance in the office of President of the Assembly, which valorizes the Albanian state-building factor in all aspects, for his dedicated political action over the years and his contribution to the preservation of national and patriotic values.

MEETING BETWEEN PRESIDENT XHAFERI AND H.E.  FRANCISCO MUNIS

At today's protocol meeting with the newly appointed non-resident Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of North Macedonia, H.E. Francisco Munis, the President of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia, Talat Xhaferi wished the Ambassador a successful term and underlined that, although we have established diplomatic relations with Malaysia since 1993, there is a lack of significant bilateral cooperation at all levels. In that context, he expressed hope that relations could be mutually encouraged to intensify, both politically and economically, above all.
